WHITE KNIGHT pillowCARE is America’s leading cleaner and refurbisher of substantially down and down/feather mix bed pillows.
Every year, we clean, renovate, refurbish and refresh thousands of substantially down and down/feather mix bed pillows for clients located throughout the USA.
Based in Scottsdale, Arizona, WHITE KNIGHT pillowCARE is the bed pillow cleaning and refurbishment division of RAVE FabriCARE, nationally recognized as one of the nation's premier dry cleaners by non-compensated, independent, authoritative third parties.
At WHITE KNIGHT pillowCARE we take the process of cleaning and refurbishing substantially down and down/feather mix bed pillows very seriously.
Unlike other dry cleaners, linen stores and “pillow refurbishment” services:
- We don’t wash your substantially down and/or down/feather mix bed pillows in hot water and then tumble dry them in a dryer.
And then call that “cleaning” good enough.
Washing does absolutely nothing to de-bed bug, de-dust mite, de-dust, clean, sanitize and deodorize your interior down fill or down/feather fill.

And then call that “cleaning” good enough.
Washing is highly unlikely to return your yellowed, browned or otherwise stained exterior/outer pillow shells (aka tickings or casings) to pristine whiteness by removing all oil-based stains (such as body oil, hair oil, creams and lotions, etc.) and all water-based stains (such as perspiration, saliva, etc.) on your pillow shells (aka tickings or casings).
- We don’t dry clean your substantially down and/or down/feather mix bed pillows in toxic, environmentally hazardous dry cleaning solvents such as perchlorethylene, synthetic petroleum or formaldehyde dibutyl acetal.
And then call that cleaning “good enough”.
The most functionally important and valuable part of any substantially down and/or down/feather mix bed pillow is the down. Dry cleaning solvents will destroy the fill power (aka "loft") of your down fill or down/feather mix fill by stripping the natural oils from the filaments of each down cluster, leaving your down as flat as a pancake.
- We don’t irradiate your substantially down and/or down/feather mix bed pillows using germicidal ultraviolet (UV-C) light generated by hand-held Star Wars-like wand devices and Dyson-styled vacuums.
And then call that “cleaning” good enough.
Irradiation by these hand-held wands and vacuums will do nothing to de-bed bug, de-dust mite, de-dust, clean, sanitize and deodorize your interior down fill or down/feather fill or return your exterior/outer pillow shells to pristine whiteness.
- We don't use cheap, striped/patterned/floral, white or colored, cardboard-textured, 180 to 210 thread count pillow shells.
And then call those basic “materials” good enough.
Sorry, we just wouldn't. Instead, we use pillow shells certified by 3 internationally-recognized textile testing laboratories.
- We don't supply cheap, marginally clean Chinese supplementary down fill (if you request additional fill). clean Chinese supplementary down fill (if you request additional down fill).
And then call that undefined “fill” good enough.
Sorry, we just wouldn't. Chinese down is typically harvested from small, immature geese and ducks and
has a low fill power or "loft" capacity; Canadian (or Hungarian or Polish) down is typically harvested from
large, mature geese and ducks and has a highfill power or "loft" capacity.

- We don't supply cheap, marginally clean Chinese supplementary feather fill (if you request additional down fill).
And then call those basic “materials” good enough.
Sorry, we just wouldn't. The fill power or "loft" capacity of feathers is zero. That's why our inventory of feathers is zero. Our zero inventory of feathers is your guarantee that we won't substitute "small fluffy feathers" for down when you ask us to add a few ounces of down to your bed pillows.

Not on internet myth or service descriptions that are confined to two or three sentences or paragraphs of generalities and misrepresentations buried deep within a dry cleaner's website.

“Feather pillows are cleaned using a process that extracts dust and kills bacteria that has built up over time. And, as part of our standard service, your pillow's feathers are recovered with 230 thread count ticking. We can even add feathers at your request.”
"First we'll remove your feathers/down from the old ticking. Next we'll clean your feathers and down and place them in brand new ticking.We clean every pillow individually so you're assured to get the same feathers and down back in your restored pillow."
"We offer full cleaning and renovation to our valued customers -- and it offers excellent savings for keeping, washing, and refilling your old pillows. Using a unique pillow renovation process, we first remove the old ticking (fabric outer layer) and replace it with a new feather-proof, down-proof fabric. The feathers are removed from the interior of the pillow and blown into an amazing machine that agitates them to fluff them back up and remove al dirt and other grime.The feathers are then sanitized using ultraviolet light and additional feathers may be added to return your pillow to like new condition."
Those sentences and paragraphs may sound plausible but we could spend hours debunking the "details".

Then, we submit those materials to internationally-recognized, independent, authoritative organizations for rigorous testing. And, only after those materials pass their rigorous standards, do we incorporate those materials into our pillow refurbishment process.
